Sam's Backpack is Bigger Than He Is

Sam loves trying to be a big kid like his brothers and sisters. I bought these Cars backpacks for the boys a few years ago on clearance, thinking we could store our homeschooling books for each kid in them. That didn't work out well. They have been put to good use when we go on vacations (what is THAT, anyway, it's been so long!) or when the boys go fishing with their dad for the weekend. I guess it's time to get Sam his own backpack, huh?

By the way, have you lifted a kid's real backpack lately? I'm surprised kids these days don't carry around Icy Hot and BenGay and Advil and heating pads with how heavy their backpacks are. Guess that's why some kids do the rolling backpack, like it's luggage. Sheesh. There's got to be an easier way!
